Officially the best Tourism Event in the country! In May Air Festival organisers were awarded GOLD by Visit England – Bournemouth Air Festival soars in the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence.
Since 2008 the Air Festival has welcomed more than 7 million people to the UK’s leading resort. The Patrons scheme was launched in 2010 and has raised in excess of £80,000 for Air Festival charities, nominated by the Armed Forces.
Award winning and internationally renowned the festival has welcomed incredible jets and display teams, had year-on-year increased assets from the RAF and RN (who regard the festival as a key event in their calendar), won the Green Apple environmental award in 2011 and been recognised for Marketing and PR by the European Airshow Council (2010, 2012 and 2014).

Salamander your #SpectatorBoat finding the best location for spectating the Bournemouth Air Festival
Salamander is heated and perfectly suited for year round use, both sailing and cruising under motor. Feel free to wander around the extensive teak decks with their protective teak handrail as we look for the best location for you to see the event.
Salamander your #SpectatorBoat also has a warm saloon for great all weather spectating.
Where to see the Bournemouth Air Festival and where to find the Bournemouth Air Festival Spectator Boat with VIP Hospitality?
The Salamander Bournemouth Air Festival Spectator Boat is normally found in Berthon Lymington Marina, in the Georgian town of Lymington.
Our experience confirms that the end of the virtual runway is the best place to see the Bournemouth Air Festival from onboard the Salamander Spectator Boat to see close up all the twists and turns just above Salamander's masts.

Lymington is therefore the preferred departure point.

Bespoke arrangements might be possible to meet guests in Lymington, Buckler's Hard on the Beaulieu River, Southampton, the Hamble, Portsmouth and Gosport in Hampshire, Cowes and Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight.

Lymington, Yarmouth, Cowes, Hamble, Southampton, Portsmouth and Poole are well served by trains and ferries making overland connections for boarding and disembarking Salamander very easy.

Lymington, The New Forest and the Isle of Wight are unique destination venues for some amazing scenery, with luxurious boutique hotels and excellent fine dining providing the perfect backdrop to combine with some wonderful sailing on board Salamander, a traditional yacht with a classically designed teak interior.

TESTIMONIAL - WHAT DO THE SALAMANDER SAILING ADVENTURE GUESTS SAY ?

"Comfortable Cruising"

"A terrific and different day out in the hands of a seriously competent family crew.
Skipper Christopher White knew all the best viewing locations. Salamander, his round-the-world vessel, is as comfortable and stable as a cruise liner (part of our day was on fairly disturbed surfaces which she rode with aplomb.)
Simple, tasty snacks were served all day by Sue and Jules with any drinks of choice, hot or cold - even 'proper' beer for one of our number who eschews lager - Alleluja! A great idea for an up-market day (or longer) out for up to 12 people - apparently Salamander will sail you to any point you favour."
